There has been as assassination attempt against President Trump at his rally in Butler, PA.
Video shows that Trump reached for his ear as shots rang out. He appears to be bleeding from his ear although it is unclear if he was grazed by a bullet or if he was wounded by shrapnel.

Of course it is possible that the Trump assassination attempt yesterday was the work of a very lucky 20 year old "lone gunman" who evaded detection and successfully exploited the extraordinary negligence of the Secret Service to get 8 free shots at the President...
But looking at the layout of the venue where the attack took place and reviewing the sequence of events, it is hard to believe that this wasn't a planned operation carried out by law enforcement. The gunman was able to set himself up on a building roughly 450 feet from the stage, which happened to be the nearest tall building and part of the only building complex in the vicinity of the venue.
He scaled the building using a ladder carrying an AR-15 assault rifle. Footage from the event and interviews with eye witnesses show that rally-goers saw the gunman several minutes before he began firing, and they not only alerted law enforcement but screamed "he has a gun!" One angle shows the police, mounted on a rooftop behind the stage, looking directly at the assassin on the opposing structure through the scopes on their guns as he began firing, and only returned fire once the President had been shot.
For the Secret Service to allow the gunman to take control of that rooftop in the first place, but also for him to apparently not be detected until the exact moment he began firing, while also ignoring repeated warnings from attendees during the crucial minutes before the shooting stretches the explanation that Secret Service and local law enforcement were merely "negligent."
It seems more plausible that the young assassin was set up as a patsy, an opening was created for him which could be explained away as a catastrophic "lapse," and once the shots were fired, the trigger man would be eliminated. He was set up with a direct line of sight to the side of the President, a short distance away and with height.
If Trump hadn't turned his head in a fifth of a second, the assassin would have been successful.

This rally was announced on July 5th, just one week after Biden's disastrous debate performance which has all but guaranteed a Trump victory. As I said after the debate, Trump is not just the presumptive nominee but likely the presumptive President since the debate. The Democrats will either replace Biden on the ticket or worse, they will be stuck with Joe Biden as he continues to rapidly decline.
Tomorrow is the first day of the four-day GOP nominating convention, where RNC delegates will officially and formally choose Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for President.
So this assassination attempt took place two weeks after it became clear that the Democrats are doomed to a catastrophic defeat and two days before Donald Trump will officially become the Republican nominee and the likely winner of the presidential election.
In a scenario where the assassin was successful, the RNC would be forced to choose a nominee amidst the resulting chaos, and that undemocratically selected nominee would probably be more likely to win since the people would rally behind them.
In effect, the RNC would be choosing the next president.

Both Haley and DeSantis are close personal allies of Miriam Adelson. Both Haley and DeSantis were both initially backed by Wall Street donors like Ken Griffin. Both DeSantis and Haley are solidly in the pocket of Israel and the defense contractors.
Is it possible that the assassination was an attempt to replace Trump with a more reliable ally of Israel like DeSantis and Haley?
Netanyahu is facing political extinction and his fate is inextricably bound up with his gambit to expand the war in Gaza into the West Bank or South Lebanon. As you know, Trump has feuded with Netanyahu since he became one of the first world leaders to recognize Biden as the winner of the fraudulent 2020 election.
After October 7th, Trump criticized Netanyahu for not supporting his strike on Soleimani and blamed him for the intelligence failure that led to the attack, something Netanyahu will have to answer for once the war is over.
In recent interviews and during the debate, Trump said that it was Israel and not Palestine that refuses to end the conflict, and that they must be forced to end it quickly.
Netanyahu needs the war to expand and to be prolonged. Trump, his embittered rival, wants the war to end quickly which would hasten the prosecution of Netanyahu for previous crimes and for his negligence on October 7th.
